A major factor in my lower rating was encountering a mouse wandering around the kitchen at night. I immediately informed the host, whose response was, "How did that get there?" and that they would "inform the team." Unfortunately, I received no further follow-up regarding the issue. The next communication was the automated checkout message the following day.That said, the host was kind, and the instructions for the stay were clear and easy to understand.One checkout requirement I didn't particularly care for was having to take our garbage to the community dumpster at the end of the stay, despite a cleaning service coming afterward. Otherwise, you're expected to pay an additional fee. I understand this is relatively common with vacation rentals, but it's still something I didn't appreciate.A few other minor issues: The master bedroom mattress was incredibly firm and felt low-quality. The master bedroom HVAC would only operate in heating mode, making the room uncomfortably warm despite nighttime temperatures around 40F. Additionally, the bedroom had room-darkening curtains rather than blackout curtains, even though the sunrise shines directly into the room.Overall, there were some positive aspects to the stay, but the mouse encounter and lack of follow-up from the host were particularly disappointing.
